Marine engines
The overhaul and modernisation of marine engines is a specialised service designed to extend the service life of propulsion systems, improve efficiency and meet environmental regulations. This process involves the dismantling, cleaning, testing and replacement of components to restore the engine to as-new condition.
Overhaul (General overhaul / Remanufacturing)
- Process: Engines (up to 4000 kW) are completely dismantled. Components are inspected, measured and, if necessary, replaced or reconditioned. The process includes visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT) and a final running-in phase.
- Scope: In addition to the engine itself, gearboxes, clutches, pumps and compressors are overhauled.
- Advantages: Remanufacturing conserves resources as old parts are reused, which reduces CO2 emissions.
Modernisierung (Retrofit / Upgrade)
- Efficiency & Environment: Modernisation improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions through advanced diagnostic and exhaust after-treatment systems.
- Alternative Fuels: Existing engines can be retrofitted to run on alternative fuels in order to reduce CO2 emissions.
- Technology: Installation of modern control systems and optimisation of the powertrain.
- Condition-Based Maintenance: Use of sensors for predictive maintenance to minimise downtime.
Spare parts
Our range of marine engine spare parts includes wear parts such as impellers, oil filters, spark plugs, anodes and gaskets, as well as components such as turbochargers, exhaust manifolds, starters, propellers and gear oils. These are used for the maintenance and repair of inboard and outboard engines.
